Dentures and partials

Dentures
Dentures are one of the oldest types of dental procedures. Our dentures are custom-made to the specific needs of each patient and are usually held in to place with suction and denture adhesive pastes.

For best results, replace dentures every five to ten years. This is not only due to normal wear, but also to assure continued optimal fit. Your jaw bones will slowly decrease with time, that's why periodic relines are needed and sometimes new dentures will be made.

Be sure to clean your dentures daily, the same as your natural teeth. Don't wear dentures to bed because they may be a choking hazard while sleeping and in addition, your natural tissue must be allowed to “breathe”.

Immediate Denture
For those patients who need to have multiple extractions prior to the placement of their dentures, we offer an immediate denture. This type of denture is fabricated prior to the extraction of your remaining teeth, so you will never be without teeth which look best cosmetically and helps you chew and digest food properly.

Removable Partial Dentures
The Removable Partial Dentures ( RPD ) is one of the most common ways to replace multiple teeth on either the top or bottom arches. The partial denture is held in place with clasps. Unlike full dentures, the RPD is much more stable since it uses the remaining teeth for support. Partial dentures should be removed after eating and cleaned like your natural teeth to keep them in the best condition and extend their life. Our office offers many different types of partial dentures to suit your individual needs.
